They throw open the doors to their houses, mansions, palaces, ranches, and penthouse apartments to wine, dine and entertain only the other wealthy citizens of their scattered homeland. The archipelago is served by an army of servants, service-providers and trades-people. Some are granted temporary residence and millions of others are never seen but their provisions are imported daily from the real world.
The archipelago has its own standards of taste, social graces and rates of taxes which are usually set at zero. The only passport needed to enter this new nation is a healthy bank balance. Once they have entered, the citizens will never need to meet people from the outside world who might ask for help. They will not be expected to have any consideration for anyone but themselves. They will pay people to treat them with respect and to indulge their every whim with a smile but there is no guarantee that they will feel truly comfortable or secure.
Tiny, as some of the islands might be, the Rolex Archipelago is by far the wealthiest nation on earth.
